Amplify Indigenous perspectives in the real world.
At QUT, we acknowledge and respect the place that Indigenous people, their history, and culture, play in our nation’s heritage and identity, as well as their vital role in forming our future.
We have our sights set on a future characterised by authentic equity, inclusivity, and self-determination. That is why we have established Australia’s first Indigenous Chair in Creative Industries.
Dr Wesley Enoch AM is our inaugural Chair, a proud Quandamooka man, QUT alumnus, and renowned writer and director.
A consummate Indigenous storyteller and thought leader, Wesley will provide input and direction to support learning, teaching, research and outreach across the creative and performing arts, design, digital media and communication disciplines.
“We are poised for a time of reckoning, where we can actively work together to behave and think differently about reconciliation and change the dialogue for all Australians.” Dr Wesley Enoch AM, Indigenous Chair in Creative Industries
